Mission Statement:
The Academic Liaison Services (ALS) Department is charged with organizing and promoting a suite of information services to the Northwestern community. These services include the development of library collections in all formats, with a focus on the general collections; provision of information on materials accessibility, whether that material is owned or leased by the library, or freely available; individually tailored research consultations; subject-specific classroom instruction; and consultations on topics in scholarly communication. The members of the ALS Department are full-time liaison librarians who provide these services to the Northwestern community, with particular emphasis on services to faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates. The library's Academic Liaison Program is administered by the ALS Department.
Contact a subject specialist. To identify a librarian who can help with topics or programs that might not be covered by a subject specialist, contact the library’s disciplinary coordinators.
