Privileges Office

The Library Privileges Office is located around the corner from the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the Main Library.

The office oversees granting access to the library for patrons who have not been issued a Northwestern ID. Borrower's Cards are issued from this office to all qualified applicants, including Northwestern University Alumni, Northwestern Affiliates, and selected Non-Northwestern Patrons.

This office also assigns open and closed study carrels in the library stacks and the lockers throughout the library.

REGULAR OFFICE HOURS: 8:30am - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday,
10:00am - 1:00pm, Saturday. 

Please Note: Access to the Library is restricted to the NU Community after 5pm on weekdays and after noon on Saturdays. If you do not currently have a borrower's card, please call ahead to arrange to be let in during the last hour Library Privileges is open each day.
