The Preservation Department maintains a Disaster Response Handbook located in each library department and a Water Damage: First Response poster located throughout the Library.  Preservation Department staff conduct regular training sessions on disaster preparedness and response.

The Disaster Prevention and Action Team (DPAT) has primary responsibility for preventing and recovering from library disasters such as fire and flood that affect library collections.

In the event of an emergency during normal working hours, call Suzette Radford (491-7636) or Mary Bradley (491-7641) if Suzette is unavailable.  They will contact Campus Facilities (491-5201).  You should then call the Preservation Department (491-7599).

In the event of an emergency after regular working hours, please refer to your departmental call list or the yellow Disaster Response Handbook located in your department.
