Deconstructing Stereotypes

Deconstructing Stereotypes: Top Ten Truths

This guest exhibit from the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian explores the stereotypes that impact the lives of Native American people today. Now on display in University Library’s 1 South study area, this installation collects art, images and testimonials that reveal Native perspectives about the truths that divide and unite us all.
This exhibit coincides with the 2015-2016 One Book, One Northwestern selection, Thomas King’s “The Inconvenient Indian,” a provocative look at the history of North American Indian relations in North America, and remains on display through March 2016.
