November 21, 1958: Northwestern's annual Dolphin Show, first established in 1947, presents its 3rd of 4 days of performance.

Traditionally showcasing water ballet and synchronized swimming, this year's show features 76 swimmers and 14 non-swimming performers with dialog, singing, and dancing. University Archives holds the records of the Dolphin Show and other student arts groups within the Arts Alliance.

November 20, 1958: An outbreak of German measles is reported on the Northwestern campus, with over 20 students contracting the disease in a span of 3 days.

November 19, 1954: The Northwestern theatre department opens a run of Romeo and Juliet. This production, held at Cahn Auditorium, is the 300th show put on in the history of the theater department.

The University Archives holds the records of University Theatre, including programs, production files and photographs, prompt books, and scrapbooks.

November 17, 1963: Dedication services are held for Northwestern's Alice Millar Chapel.

The chapel was named for donor Foster McGaw's mother.

November 16, 1958: The creation of the Tri-Quarterly, a Northwestern literary magazine, is announced. The first editor is Professor Edward B. Hungerford of the English department.
