Much anticipated by book enthusiasts and collectors, the annual sale in the Ver Steeg Lounge of Northwestern’s Main Library, 1970 Campus Drive, Evanston campus, opens to the public at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 15, and closes for the day at 4:00 p.m. Hardcover books cost $3 each; quality paperbacks $2; and mass-market paperbacks are 50 cents each.
Northwestern community members with a valid WildCard or an alumni ID can shop the sale a day earlier, Wednesday, May 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to take part in “Buck-a-Bag Day,” Friday, May 16. That is when bargain seekers can fill up a bag with books, videos and records for only $1 or a box for just $2.
The event features Northwestern University Press overstock, a large number of records in excellent condition for music lovers and especially impressive collections in art, fiction, Africana, and history.
