Building Access

Hours for the General Public

During the Academic Year:

The Library is open to the general public from 8:30am to 5:00pm weekdays and 8:30am to noon on Saturday during the academic year. All hours that the library is open outside of these times are restricted to NU University affiliates and patrons who have a Borrower's Card or Alumni Association Card.

Users of Depository Collections in the Government Publications and Map Department and the Transportation Library can enter the University Library any time those departments are open.

During the Summer:

The library has open access to the general public during all summer hours. Summer hours are: Monday through Thursday 8:30am to 10:00pm, Friday and Saturday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Sunday noon to 9:00pm. Call (847) 491-7635 for current information about the library's hours.
