Cards and Passes

Borrower's Card

Borrower's Cards entitle patrons to borrow books from the library. All books may be recalled after two weeks, although the standard loan period is longer. Borrower's Cards cannot be renewed until all fines are paid. Only the person who owns a Borrower's Card may use the card. Call the Library Privileges Office to determine borrowing privileges for other NU Libraries.

Please note: Only patrons living in the Chicago Area may apply for a Borrower's Card.

Corporate Borrower's Card

Corporate borrowing privileges are handled by a separate office. Those interested in corporate borrowing privileges should contact Sherie Stein at (847)491-7632 or pubserv@northwestern.edu.

Alumni Association Cards

Alumni Association Cards are issued from the John Evans Alumni Center. Contact the center directly for more details. Alumni Association Cards allow access to the library at all hours, including those normally restricted to the NU community.
