Carmina Burana ("Songs of Beuern")
Created around 1230 in Carinthia, Styria, or South Tyrolsome evidence points to the scriptorium of Kloster Neustift near Brixen as the place of origin. Acquired by Benediktbeuern perhaps as late as the 18th C. Discovered by J. C. v. Aretin in 1803. Now in the Bay. Staatsbibliothek (Clm 4660).
This page is fol. 72v. At top, conclusion of ich was ein chint so wolgetan ("I was such an attractive child"). The illustration accompanies Suscipe Flos florem ("Flower, pluck my flower").
