ASCII Codes for Foreign (and Other Special) Characters


The most important key combinations for German are:

<alt> + 129 ü
<alt> + 132 ä
<alt> + 148 ö
<alt> + 142 Ä
<alt> + 153 Ö
<alt> + 154 Ü
<alt> + 225 ß
<alt> + 0128 €

Depending on which application (or website) you are using, you will either need to turn on Num Lock--or you won't.
