About German Literature CollectionThe Library maintains strong collections in German literature from the Reformation to the present (Dewey 830-838) on 4 South, as well as representative collections in Scandinavian languages and Dutch (839)--for literature resources in these languages, turn to the University of Chicago Library.Of the other Germanic languages, Northwestern's Africana library has a very rich collection of Afrikaans literature (5 East). Special Collections has interesting collections of German literature in original editions from the early 20th century: Expressionism, Dada, Neue Sachlichkeit.
