  • ARTFL, Project for American and French Research on the Treasury of the French Language (University of Chicago)
    Includes numerous projects, such as a full-text version of Diderot's Encyclopedie, and a set of digitized Pamphlets and Periodicals of the French Revolution of 1848, done in collaboration with the University of Chicago and the Center for Research Libraries.

  • Avalon Project (Yale Law School)
    Includes full-text of selected documents in history, law, and diplomacy, ranging from pre-18th through the 20th centuries.

  • British History Online
    Digital library of core medieval and early modern sources, from the Institute of Historical Research (University of London) and the History of Parliament Trust.

  • NU resource ECCO: Eighteenth Century Collections Online
    A comprehensive digital edition of The Eighteenth Century, the world's largest microfilm library of the printed book. ECCO, when complete, will include digital versions of nearly 150,000 English-language titles and editions published between 1701 and 1800; it will ultimately allow full-text searching of over 33 million pages of English-language and foreign-language titles printed in the United Kingdom, along with thousands of important works from the Americas.


  • Encyclopedia of Diderot and D'Alembert
    Based at the University of Michigan Library, contributors to this project are creating an online version of the Encyclopedia translated into English, with links to the original French versions.


  • EuroDocs. Primary Historical Documents from Western Europe

  • French Revolution Research Collection
    The library owns Parts 5, 9, and 12 of the microfiche set of this name, and the printed guides to sections 1-9, and 11-12 (guides available in Newspaper/Periodical room, L 944.04 F873). The collection has now been digitized, and is available via Gallica. To search the digital collection, go to http://gallica.bnf.fr/ Under "recherche libre", type in "French Revolution Research Collection," or you can search by a specific document title.

  • Iberian History, Digital Archives
    Portal to numerous sources, including docuemnts, data files, primary and secondary literature. Includes new links to Spanish Digital Archives.


  • Intute (formerly Humbul Humanities Web)
    Provides access to web resources for education and research. The service is created by a network of UK universities and partners.

  • Papers of Sir Joseph Banks
    Selections from the explorer Joseph Banks' papers are available in digital form from the State Library of New South Wales and from the National Library of Australia.


  • Voice of the Shuttle
    Listings of resources in a variety of disciplines


  • WESSWeb
