Arabic Manuscripts from West Africa Online catalog to materials in NU's Herskovits Library of African Studies. ".... over 5,000 items.... Cooperative Africana Microform Project (CAMP)--CRL A large, rich pool of historical, political, linguistic, economic and geographical data and primary source materials that are not available elsewhere. See "Guides to Collection" and "Holdings List." CRL is located in Chicago. Materials are readily available through Interlibrary Loan and possibly through appointment.
Database of African Theses & Dissertations: DATAD "For many reasons, African research results are rarely indexed in major international databases, a problem that is further exacerbated by the inaccessibility of theses and dissertations completed in the region, many of which contain local empirical data that is not available in international literature." Currently contains citations and abstracts from ten leading universities, with more planned, in all subject areas.
Digital National Security Archive Contains over 35,000 declassified national security documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act.
