Social Science Data Services

Social Science Data Services (SSDS) supports research and instruction in the social sciences by collecting, managing and facilitating access to data for secondary analysis. SSDS provides reference and technical consultation to help users identify and use data accessible online, through different repositories and on CD or DVD.

Located in Government Information in the lower level of Deering, SSDS staff consultation or assistance in using the data collection is usually available Monday through Friday by appointment. For further information, please contact SSDS at: kemurphy@northwestern.edu.

Computers with SPSS, SAS, and Stata are available in the Department during regular hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 8:00 pm; Friday - Saturday 8:30 am - 5 pm; Sunday: closed.
