Digital Collections offers a wide range of audio services, including support for recording sessions, sound editing for library podcasts, digitization of previously recorded media, and audio streaming. Audio RecordingFaculty, staff and graduate students can arrange to use the audio recording room. Digital Collections staff are available to record your session for you and to help teach you to edit the audio clips in the lab. To make an appointment, call 847.467.1080. Audio EditingDigital Collections staff are available to assist in NU Library podcasts by providing basic editing services. These editing services include cutting, basic volume adjustments, and arrangement. Audio edited by Digital Collections can be delivered to you via CD or Depot pick-up. If you would like Digital Collections to assist in your audio project, please bring your audio clips to the 2E Drop-off Window. Audio DigitizationFaculty, staff and graduate students can request their original audio recordings be digitized for preservation, teaching or research. Digitization services are available for cassette tapes as well as albums. If you would like Digital Collections to digitize audio recordings, please bring your source media to the 2E Drop-off Window. Music Audio StreamingFaculty, grad students and staff can request titles be streamed from CDs, LPs or audio cassettes.
