Image scanning services are available to faculty, staff and graduate students. Digital Collections can deliver images to patrons in various file formats and resolutions for electronic presentations, printing or archiving. If you have a personal collection that you are willing to contribute to the Digital Image Library, please contact Claire Stewart or Julie Rudder.

Slide Scanning

Digital Collections will scan personal slides or slides in the Visual Media Collection. Please check the Digital Image Library to be sure a VMC slide has not already been digitized before you request it.

Turn around times:

  • 1-50 slides = 1 week
  • 51-100 slides = 2-3 weeks
  • 101+ slides = TBD (To process a request of this size, you will need to discuss your project with Roman Stansberry or Dan Zellner in order to determine when your request will be completed.)

Requirements: Patrons who wish to have slides scanned from the Visual Image Collection will need to pull the slides from the drawers or contact Roman Stansberry for special requests.

Requests: Please fill out the slide scanning request form (available online or in either Digital Collections office).

Book Image Scanning

Book image requests are accepted for single illustrations, select illustrations, or all illustrations present in a title.

Turn around times:
  • 1-25 illustrations = 1 week
  • 26-50 illustrations = 2-3 weeks
  • 50+ illustrations = TBD (To process a request of this size, you will need to discuss your project with Roman Stansberry or Dan Zellner in order to determine when your request will be completed.)

Requests: Please fill out the book scanning request form (available online or in the Digital Collections office).

**Please note: Turn around times could vary depending on current project load.
