Special Projects

Some projects demand more time or resources than we typically provide through standard services. Special Projects are accepted to meet the unique needs of faculty, departments and graduate students requiring help with long term projects or in-depth work.

Special Projects can range from the digitization of an entire slide collection to the creation of a multimedia DVD with orginal content. A Special Project can also grow into a Digital Library Project and become part of NUL's digital repository. Each Special Project request is unique and is evaluated on an individual basis.

If you are interested in proposing a Special Project or Digital Library Project, please set up an appointment with Dan Zellner, Multimedia Services Specialist. If the project moves on for consideration as a Digital Library Project, Julie Patton will contact you for more information.

Examples of Special Projects the Digital Collections department has taken on in the past are:

  • Image capturing and production for the Anatomy of Gender website
  • Scanning and web design for The Pont Neuf collection
  • Digitization of departmental slide collections
  • Streaming requests for new courses
