Jeffrey Garrett, president of the 2004 Hans Christian Andersen Jury and Assistant University Librarian for Collection Management here at the Northwestern Library, delivered this presentation as an accompaniment to the exhibit. His discussion highlights the careers of eight non-European and non-American children's book authors and illustrators, including a number of those included in the exhibit.
