200 Years of Haitian Independence
November 2, 2004 - January 6, 2005Haiti declared its independence from France in 1804. Northwestern University Library departments of Special Collections and Africana collaborate in displaying contemporary material in celebration of this anniversary. |

The Hans Christian Andersen Collection at Northwestern: Illustrated Children's Books from Around the World
July 27 - September 9, 2004Northwestern University Library owns nearly 1500 children's books submitted for review by the jury of the Hans Christian Andersen medal, the most important award given internationally to authors and illustrators of children's books. This exhibit provides a display of prominent writers and richly illustrated works. The McCormick Library of Special Collections' Andersen jury dossiers will provide insight into children's literature cultures far removed from our own. |
