Making a Gift: Endowed Funds
Morton M. and Joann S. Astrahan Endowed Fund
Wanting to ensure the ongoing vitality of technology and information in the Seeley G. Mudd Science and Engineering Library, Joann Astrahan established an endowment that provides funds for future upgrades in the Morton M. Astrahan Electronic Information Center.
In 1992, Ms. Astrahan originally created Astrahan Information Center in memory of her late husband, who received his undergraduate and PhD degrees from Northwestern in 1945 and 1949. The Astrahan Center provides access to electronic reference materials that are locally accessible or available on the Internet and is the primary access point for faculty and students in engineering and the sciences.
