How can you give through life insurance?
You can simply name the Library as both the owner and irrevocable beneficiary of a life insurance policy, or an alternative is using life insurance is through wealth replacement. Wealth replacement lets you make a gift to Northwestern, and then use the savings from the gift's tax deduction to purchase and pay the premiums on a life insurance policy. The proceeds of the life insurance policy are roughly equivalent to the value of the gift. The assets used to make the gift are "replaced" with insurance.
