Corruption: A Trust Betrayed
In the wake of the impeachment of Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, Government and Geographic Information and Data Services Department has put up an exhibit in the department on corruption for the winter quarter of 2008. While corruption has been a deep seeded part the history of politics in Chicago and Illinois, the roots of corruption stretch beyond our borders into every state in the United States and countries around the world. The threat of corruption is global and permeates almost every facet of public trust. Visitors are encouraged to come by the department and get a taste of scope and rich history of corruption nationally and internationally through the library materials selected for this exhibit.
