Watch vintage NU Wildcats basketball online

Former NU basketball star Joe Ruklick (SESP 1959, Medill 1990) has many memories of playing basketball for Northwestern in the late 1950s. Now anyone can take a trip down memory lane with a newly-digitized collection of vintage game films. Ruklick gave his collection of 14 films of NU games from the 1956-59 seasons to Northwestern University Archives. University Archives has digitized the collection of films and made them available online.

The films feature some great playing and wins for NU, along with a chance to see Joe Ruklick facing Wilt Chamberlain (NU v Kansas, 12/7/1957) - who would be Joe's teammate on the Philadelphia Warriors a few years later.

The black-and-white, silent game films run between 25-40 minutes each, and are delivered through Northwestern University's YouTube channel.
