African Language Books

The Melville J. Herskovits Library of African Studies has over 10,000 books in African languages. The Herskovits Library's collection of books in African languages includes fiction, poetry, history, folk lore, textbooks, grammars, and many others. The African Language books are not accessible in NUcat, the Northwestern University Library's online catalog. Inquiries regarding this separate collection may be made in person, by letter, e-mail or telephone. Other major collections of books in African Languages are available at Indiana University and Boston University.
