The Art Library is located on Level 3 of Deering Library. To visit the Art Library, enter through the Deering doors, just off of Deering Meadow, which will place you on Level 2, and proceed to the third floor, one story above the entrance (Level 1 is the basement, below the entrance). The Eloise W. Martin Reading Room spans the building across the lobby from the stairs. The Architecture Reading Room is behind the stairs, adjacent to the exhibition case area in the lobby.

You may also enter the Art Library from the Main Library building, by following the signs directing you to Deering Library. Deering Library is connected to the Main Library on the first and third floors of the building. The third floor access point is inside the Architecture Reading Room.

Elevator access is available from two locations:

  • Taking the public elevators located in the Main Library to the third floor, patrons may follow signs to Deering Library through the south tower, past the Ver Steeg Lounge and into Deering Library via the Architecture Reading Room.
  • Taking the public elevator located in the stacks adjacent to the Government Information reference room, patrons may directly access the Architecture Reading Room.

Building maps are available here, and general directions to the library, parking information, and campus maps are available here.
