Growing the biology collection
Subscription expands JSTOR science access
University Library has recently subscribed to the new JSTOR Biological Sciences Collection. This collection, still in the process of creation, will include at least 100 archived journal titles by the time it is completed in 2007. It includes the 29 journals available in the existing Ecology & Botany collection—the sole JSTOR collection the Library currently does not have—as well as more than 70 titles completely new to JSTOR. This collection includes fields such as biodiversity, conservation, paleontology, plant science, cell biology, and zoology.
A sampling of journals now accessible includes: American Journal of Botany, Conservation Biology, Evolutionary Biology, Journal of Applied Ecology, Limnology and Oceanography, New Phytologist, and Systematic Biology.
A complete title list is available at http://www.jstor.org/about/biosci.list.html (for titles already available) and http://www.jstor.org/about/upcoming.journals.html (for upcoming additions).
