The latest trend in sustainable transportation to sweep across Asia and Europe is about to hit America: "e-biking." Electric bike sales are poised to skyrocket in the United States by 2015, with an average price starting at $1,500 and average speeds around 20 miles per hour. Electric bikes appeal to commuters, tourists and others on the road for their optional "assist" functions: battery-powered motors with adjustable settings of power levels.
