Photo Exhibit Depicts Colonial East Africa

In June 2009, Northwestern University finished digitizing the Humphrey Winterton Collection of East African Photographs, a vast project which chronicles through photography the history, culture and complicated dynamics of the colonial period in East Africa. In January 2010, David Easterbrook, the George and Mary LeCron Foster Curator of Northwestern University's Herskovits Library of African Studies, spoke to WBEZ about the collection.
