Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Speaks at NU: 1958
On April 15 and 16, 1958, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., came to Evanston, where he delivered two lectures as the guest speaker at NU's annual Mars Lecture Series in Progressive Christianity. Dr. King's first lecture was on "The Crisis in Human Relations." The next night, he spoke on "The Christian Answer."
Unfortunately, the University Archives has no copies of Dr. King's lectures, but does have the press release and program (see below), and the coverage of the lectures as reported in the Daily Northwestern.
