 Here are three upcoming workshops:

 

Introduction to ARTstor and Art Resources; Art Collection tour:  Learn the basic tools for research and teaching with images in ARTstor. Searching, downloading images, creating and using image groupings, and using the Offline Image Viewer for classroom presentation. Introduction to research strategies and major sources, both online and in print, for architecture, design, fashion, and photography, including electronic resources relating to the arts.  Concludes with a tour of the Art Collection’s reading rooms and overview of services.

iMovie '11:  Capture. Edit. Share. This workshop offers guided exploration of Apple’s iMovie '11 video editing software.  As part of Apple's iLife software suite, iMovie '11 offers an inexpensive and simple means of learning to work with video in Mac OS X.  Participants will be led through each stage of video authoring from capturing, editing and exporting in a hands-on approach.  Each computer will be set up with iMovie '11 installed along with video and audio samples, so it will not be necessary to bring laptops or video footage to the workshop.

Image editing with Photoshop: Learn to use Adobe Photoshop for cropping, color-correcting, editing and formatting images for various uses. Mac platform, beginner Photoshop.
