Farewell to Digital Collections, and a Welcome to Preservation

With a mix of sadness and joy, the Special Libraries Division announces a structural transition.

We have had a wonderful three-year run with Digital Collections, which as of February 15, has moved to the Library Technology Division. Though Claire Stewart and her department are leaving us administratively, channels that have worked so well in the past will remain open, and we look forward to continued collaboration.

In turn, we warmly welcome the Preservation Department back into the Special Libraries fold. As former members of the Collection Management Division until 2001, we look forward to again having closer contact with Scott Devine and Preservation staff. This will be a terrific move for the division, as approximately 80% of Preservation work is already related to Special Libraries materials.
