Huge November book sale
With more than 14,000 new and used books, this year’s Northwestern University Library book sale will be bigger than ever, featuring a mixture of fiction and non-fiction, with an especially good selection of books in literary criticism, journalism and media, business, science and technology, and Northwestern University Press overstock. The sale also includes CDs, DVDs, and VHS cassettes, as well as vintage record albums and periodicals.
Open to the general public on Wednesday, November 15, the sale takes place in the Ver Steeg Lounge on the third floor of the Library’s south tower (1970 Campus Drive, Evanston). Its hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, November 16, when all books will be 50 percent off; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, November 17, when any remaining items will be deeply discounted.
Members of the Northwestern community, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni (with a valid WildCard or alumni ID) are invited to preview the sale—and take advantage of the best selection—on Tuesday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hardcover books cost $3 each; quality paperbacks are $2; and mass market paperbacks are $.50 apiece. For more information about the book sale, go to www.library.northwestern.edu/booksale/ or call Jessica Bartlett at 847.491.2932.
