Introduction to SAS Environment and Descriptive

  • Introduce the SAS environment, including the interface, terminology, and basic rules of SAS program language.
  • Introduce the basics of SAS file management, temporary data set and permanent dataset.
  • How to set up libnames and access existing SAS data files. 
  • Practice basic procedures that are essential to data structure: including CONTENTS, SORT, PRINT and WHERE/IF statement. 
  • Practice descriptive statistics procedures: MEANS, FREQ, UNIVARIATE.
