Rob Linrothe
ARTstor has partnered with Rob Linrothe to share approximately 3,000 images of Tibetan and Buddhist art in the Digital Library. The collection consists of Linrothe's field photography of art, architecture, and monuments in Tibet, China, India, and Indonesia.
NUL partnered with Professor Linrothe on the project by cataloging the images and transcribing notes and information written on the slides. The collection is expected to be completed and available in the fall of 2012.
Carl Smith slide collection
NUL digitized Professor Carl Smith’s collection of over 3,500 slides. Professor Smith worked with a teaching assistant to describe and catalogue each image. The collection used for teaching, learning and research, contains images of artworks, architecture, and historical photographs focusing on American history. This collection is available in the Digital Image Library. Just search "Carl Smith : Image Collection".
Visual Media Collection (VMC) slide project
The Visual Media Collection is a slide collections of about 300,000 slides that were used to support teaching and learning at Northwestern. The collection was built and supported by the department of Art History. You can find the digitized portion of these slides in our Digital Image Library.
