Materials Processing
Materials Processing is responsible for the processing of a major
portion of library materials that require specific physical or reformatting
treatments. This involves the detailed work of gathering materials
that have been identified as requiring a certain treatment, contracting
with various vendors who specialize in the treatments we use, shipping
the library materials to the vendors, and checking for quality control
on their return to the Library. Physical treatments include Mass
Deacidification and Commercial Binding. Reformating treatments include
Microfilming and Photocopying. Elayne Bond (primary contact) (1-8654)
