Welcome to the Library Personnel Department

The Library Personnel Office coordinates the hiring process for all available positions in the 32 departments at the Library. Our positions range from hourly wage, student jobs to full time staff positions and professional librarian positions.

We also maintain all employment records for Student and Temporary employees hired at the Main Library, Branch-Off Campus Libraries located on Evanston campus (Mathematics Library and Seeley G. Mudd Library) and on the Chicago Campus (Schaffner Library).

Library Personnel is responsible for the implementation of the Library's human resources policies and programs, including recruitment, training, staff development, compensation, employee relations and records management. The Personnel staff serve as the primary source for the Library Administration in planning personnel policies and procedures and as the liaison to the University's Department of Human Resources.
