Kendall Hackney is the winner of the 2010 Explore Your Library raffle.

Kendall Hackney is the winner of the 2010 Explore Your Library raffle. The second year communication major takes home the grand prize: an Apple iPad. Hackney, who is a forward for the Wildcats' women's basketball team, was both surprised and pleased to win.

"I never win contests, so I was really surprised when I got the email," Hackeny said.

Hackney was one of 230 students who, after completing the Explore Your Library adventure, entered the raffle. In addition to the grand prize, a total of 23 other prizes, including free movie passes, gift certificates and coupons were awarded to Aleksandr Sverdlik, Nirajan Rajkarnikar, Jessica lodewyk, Pao Wong, Dawn Pankonien, Tiara Starks, Raymond Banfield, Zachary Schlieder, Charles Geter, Jason Pan, Lu Yinghai, Christina Ha, Alejandra Leon, Sarah Collins, Jonathan Lamano, Jane Cha, Olivia Edmunds-Diez, Ji Yi, Kenneth Elpus, Renee French, Rachel Waxman, Jenny Fang, and Nate Raskin.

What does Kendall think about the library? "When I need to focus, I come here," Kendall said of the library. "It has a lot of places to go and get away where it's quiet."
