Google begins project to digitize hundreds of thousands of NU's books.

Beginning on Monday, November 8th we will start pulling books from the Evanston campus to send to Google for scanning. Selected books in these call number ranges will be pulled: Main Library 001-049 and L001-L049 100-149 and L100-L149 Transportation Library A-HD (all books in this range will be sent) It's possible that selected books in these ranges may be off the shelf for up to 3 months (November 2010 - February 2011). The message in the online catalog will say: "At Google for digitization. May be available through Interlibrary Loan."
