While consumers focus on alternative fuels for cars, there are other modes of transport for which they are also being studies. The Transportation Research Board recently issued a study titled "Guidelines for Integrating Alternative Jet Fuel into the Airport Setting." The report is described as identifying "the types and characteristics of alternative jet fuels; summarizes potential benefits; addresses legal, financial, environmental, and logistical considerations and opportunities; and aids in evaluating the feasibility of alternative jet fuel production facilities." It is available for download at http://onlinepubs.trb.org/onlinepubs/acrp/acrp_rpt_060.pdf [2].
