Northwestern University Archives recently received the papers of Patricia Neal, donated by the Oscar- and Tony-winning actress' family. The rich collection documents Ms. Neal's life in letters, newspaper and magazine articles, books, posters, awards, speeches, photographs, videos and DVDs. Neal was a dedicated alumna of Northwestern, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and was crowned Syllabus Beauty Queen in 1946. A devotee of the theater from the very start, Neal got her big break on Broadway in 1947 and starred in several major Hollywood productions, including Hud and Breakfast at Tiffany's.
