In Spring 2011, Michael Kramer conducted a course based around interactions with the Berkeley Folk Festival collection housed in NUL's Special Collections . A large component of the course was a Wordpress site where students could blog about their research, comment on posts, and engage in dialogue about their work. Students prepared a digital portfolio of research that included text, images, and media. The library supported this effort In collaboration with NUIT's Academic & Research Technologies, who developed and hosted the Wordpress-based course environment. The library digitized much of the collection and offered technology instruction support and research. Support was expanded in its second interation in Spring 2012.
