Instruction in locating and using information resources, and in research procedure and process, is offered by many units within the Public Services Division as well as departments in the Special Libraries Division.
As with research consultations, library patrons, especially faculty and graduate students, may contact liaisons/subject specialists  directly to request specialized instruction.
The main library Reference Department coordinates specialized class instruction; sessions which introduce students to information and reference resources; and instruction in the use of particular resources in a workshop setting.
Faculty who wish to request instruction on information and reference resources most pertinent to work in a particular course are encouraged to fill out a Faculty Request for Instruction form .
Faculty who wish to request instruction for a freshman seminar are may do so by filling out a Faculty Request for Instruction for a Freshman Seminar form .
Upon receiving a request, the coordinator will contact the appropriate subject specialists/selectors.
