The new system, The North American Industry Classification System
(NAICS), provides common industry definitions for Canada, Mexico,
and the United States. The Census Department's web page on NAICS
includes a correspondence between the older SIC codes to NAICS codes.

Note about required password: Many of the international reports under the Globus NTDB section require a password. NU students and faculty should visit the NU Government Information library in person where a librarian will then log the user in to the database with the required password.

You may also search by SIC code in any search method by typing SIC(####).
For example, SIC(4911)
finds articles on the utilities/electricity
industries. Identify SIC or NAICs industry classification codes
from the NAICS
