Online Catalog: Books and other library materials
Use NUcat (the
online library catalog) to identify books that the library has, as well
as journal titles--not journal articles , microfilm, videos, and other catalogued
material. NUcat will also tell you whether material is
in the main library or in another Northwestern University library.
To obtain materials from other libraries, use the request forms from the Interlibrary
Loan Department.

Finding
the full text of an article in a database
If the article
citations you find in databases do not include full text,
click on Find it @ NU which searches across many other indexing
databases to find electronic full text of the article, if it
exists, in the
NU Library electronic environment.
Find it @ NU will also lead to a link to NUcat, the library catalog.
Link into NUcat if no full text of the article is available online. You can then search NUcat by the Journal Title (not the article title) to determine if our library owns the article you need in the paper copy.
