This large database is a great place to begin research on almost any topic including the sciences. Including citations and abstracts for nearly 8035 scholarly journals (3630 peer-reviewed), as well as over 4515 full-text titles, Academic Search Premier covers a broad spectrum of resources that will assist you in your research.
Academic One File
This is another large databases covering a wide variety of resources on almost all academic topics. Citations, abstracts and selected full-text articles in more than one thousand periodicals covering the social sciences, the humanities, the sciences, and current affairs.
Lexis Nexis
Lexis Nexis contains the full text of articles from several thousand news and business publications.
Reader's Guide Abstracts
This index provides citations and abstracts for over 300 popular periodicals published in the U.S. and Canada.
JSTOR
JSTOR is an archive of complete runs of core journals in various academic disciplines. Coverage starts with the first issue of the journal and continues up thorugh 3 to 5 years a go.

General Science Abstracts
Provides citations and abstracts to articles from 140 journals general science journals including those covering Biology, Botany, Conservation, Environment, Medicine, and Zoology.
Biological Abstracts (Biosis)
Provides citations and abstracts to journal articles in the areas of botany, zoology and microbiology, as well as experimental, clinical and veterinary medicine, biotechnology, environmental studies, and agriculture. Covers the years 1969 through 2005. For more recent material see Web of Science.
GeoRef
Georef provides citations to journal articles, conference papers, books, dissertations, theses, maps and government publications covering the geology of North America from 1785 and that of the rest of the world from 1933.
