Other social sciences databases that cover articles in psychology and related topics—

NU OnlyAcademic Search Premier

NU OnlyExpanded Academic ASAP

These two databases are multidisciplinary in their coverage and contain a large number of full text articles. Both focus primarily on scholarly literature. Expanded Academic ASAP—also known as EXAC—uses a thesaurus to guide you through subject searches, although it is not as detailed as the PsycINFO thesaurus. Academic Search Elite has an even less-detailed subject structure, but has a larger number of full text articles. Both are excellent sources for beginning a search, especially if you are not certain into which specific discipline your topic might fall.

NU OnlySocial Sciences Abstracts

This is also a multidisciplinary database, but covering only topics in the social sciences. Social Sciences Abstracts includes a few full text articles.

NU OnlyFamily and Society Studies World Wide

This database provides citations and abstracts to research, policy and practice literature in family science, human ecology and human development.

NU OnlySociological Abstracts

This is the primary resource for locating articles in sociology journals and related fields like social work, social psychology, and anthropology.

If you cannot find what you are looking for in these resources, do not hesitate to ask a Reference librarian for help.
