Doing Research in an Archives: Finding and Using Primary Sources

Instructor: Janet Olson, Assistant University Archivist

Undergrads: If you’re planning to do primary-source research this summer or next year, this workshop can save you time and help you get the information you need. Let’s face it, archives are different from libraries and can seem impenetrably mysterious. The workshop will open the door to a world of primary sources, covering everything from what an archives is, to how to locate sources in repositories around the world; how to prepare for and make the most of a research trip; and how to obtain materials without traveling.

Tuesday, May 13
3:00-4:00 pm
