Powered by Crain's Chicago Business, website provides select Chicago-area business news and information including company lists and rankings. For the full text of Crains Chicago Business, go to Find e-Journals and search the journal title.

DRI Basic Economics
Contains monthly, quarterly, and annual time-series data that date back to 1946, when available, and ends with the latest updates. Data consist of national-level information from Federal agencies such as the Bureau of Economic Analysis, Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Federal Reserve Board as well as private organizations such as the Conference Board. Coverage includes that of the four following data sets. BASIC covers US economic, financial, and demographic statistics including merchandise trade, population, production, income, housing, employment, money supply, and interest and exchange rates. Various series are available at monthly, quarterly, or annual frequencies. BASIC_D covers daily financial and market variables, commodity prices, and exchange and interest rates. BASIC_FX covers daily exchange and interest rates, and selected materials prices. BASIC_W covers weekly monetary aggregates, commodity prices and production, and exchange and interest rates.

Online service providing product and market research reports for the information technology industry as well as reports on technologies used within various spheres of business and e-commerce.

Global Market Information Database GMID
GMID from Euromonitor International provides business intelligence on consumers, industries, and countries. It offers integrated access to statistics, reports, insightful comment and business information sources. Coverage is global, more than 200 countries are researched.

Hoovers Online
Excellent source for all kinds of public and private company information. The Kellogg School of Management subscribes to the Pro version for the NU community.

Health Source: Nursing / Academic Edition
Citations, abstracts and full-text medical and health articles providing scholarly information about health care, including health care management.

International Financial Statistics
Contains approximately 32,000 time series covering more than 200 countries and areas; exchange rate series for all Fund member countries, plus Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles; major Fund accounts series; and most other world, area, and country series from the IFS World Tables.

Internet & Personal Computing Abstracts
An index to articles in popular and professional computing magazines, including news, product and vendor guides, and reviews of software, hardware and books.

Investext Plus
Analyst reports on companies and industries from over 500 brokers worldwide. Also includes Mergent history & debt reports and trade association reportsfrom over 50 major industries.

ISI Emerging Markets
Business news and intelligence, and company, industry, financial, economic and political information from emerging market countries in Latin America, Asia and Europe. Includes corporate profiles, financial statements, industry and analyst reports, capital market quotes and indices, macroeconomic statistics and forecasts, legal and regulatory information, and opinion polls.

JSTOR
Digitized, full-text versions of core scholarly journals across disciplines.

Lexis Nexis Academic
Legal, news and business information service which contains several thousand full-text publications. These include regional, national and international newspapers, news wires, magazines, trade journals, law reviews, statutory, administrative and case law and business publications.

Lexis Nexis Statistical
Statistical information from a variety of sources, including the U.S. government, research firms, trade associations, university studies, and international agencies.

Materials Business File

Mergent Online
Financial and background information on 30,000 US and foreign public companies, including annual reports. Information comprises that of all of the Mergent/Moody's Manuals except for the Municipal & Government Manual. Current information only. However, spreadsheet financials date back 15 years, annual reports date back to 1996 or 1997, and SEC filings date back to 1993.

Standard & Poor's Netadvantage

Stat-USA/Internet
Access to US economic data as well as internation market research reports, Best Market Reports, country analysis and other documents related to international trade.
Note about password: Many of the international reports under the Globus NTDB section of Stat USA require a password. NU students and faculty should visit the NU Government Information library in person where a librarian may then log the user in to the database with the required password.

Statistical Abstract of the United States Unrestricted Access
Contains a wealth of statistics on social and economic conditions in the United States from across multiple federal agencies. Covers population, health, education, law enforcement, government finances, labor, income, business enterprise, agriculture, natural resources, construction, trade, manufactures, trade, arts, recreation, and comparative international statistics.
