EndNote Import Filters

These Import Filters work with databases to which the Northwestern University libraries subscribe. The second column links you to specific instructions for preparing a text file from a particular databse for import into EndNote (this information can usually also be found in the Comments section of EndNote's Filter Manager). Many more filters are available for download from the EndNote web site.

Many databases now offer a Direct Export feature that automates the import process.

Make certain to save these files in the Filters folder within your EndNote installation. You may need to close and relaunch EndNote to see your newly downloaded files in EndNote's Filter Manager.
