How to Disable Java in Netscape 7 and Mozilla
(Windows and Macintosh)
The Answers Online system requires that Java be disabled in Netscape 7 and Mozilla web browsers. If you have Java enabled when you connect to Answers Online, you will see the following message:

Click OK to close the message.
To disable Java, go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.

Click on Advanced in the menu on the left side of the Preferences window. Remove the check from the box labelled Enable Java.

Click OK to save this change.
You may now connect to Answers Online. You will want to reverse this process to reenable Java when you are done chatting with a librarian.
